About NGCBT

My name is Nicci Speirs and I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

I have worked in the area of Mental Health for over 15 years. Initially as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and then as a Psychological Therapist.

I work with people who experience a range of mental health issues, using interventions to challenge thoughts and behaviours in order to feel differently.

I can offer a safe and confidential space to work through your difficulties, using goals that are meaningful for you which we can work together to achieve.

It can be a really difficult thing to reach out and ask for help but if you want to have a chat about CBT and what I can offer, please contact me. If talking on the phone is difficult, you can use the contact form below and get in touch. I look forward to working with you.

Our Services

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy based on evidence. This means that as we talk about what’s going on, we gather information from your treatment which we can then use to prove that the therapy is working. Sessions are for 60 minutes and usually weekly, however this is flexible dependant on your needs.

CBT is generally used for treating depression and anxiety but it can also be used to help with:

obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

panic disorder

post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

phobias

eating disorders – such as anorexia and bulimia

social anxiety

self esteem

worry

perfectionism

sleep

Sometimes we can’t put a label on how we are feeling so if you are struggling with how you are feeling and would like to chat about whether CBT could be helpful for you please get in touch for a free telephone consultation.

The sessions are usually done face to face at our clinic room in Nottingham but we do also offer a telephone service.
